A Sports Meet

  The day before yesterday was a sunny day, and we had a sports meet on the playground. There were many sports events, including long jump, high jump, sixty-meter run, one-hundred-meter run, two-hundred-meter run, four-hundred-meter run, and softball.

  In the morning, I had a long jump match at twenty past nine. Zhang Qian, Yin Zhongxuan and Zhou Yiyun did the long jump, too. I was very excited and nervous. I first jumped two point seven meters; then, I jumped two point six five meters, I was very sad; but finally, I jumped two point nine eight meters. I got the third place! I was very happy. Zhang Qian won the silver.

  In the afternoon, I had a sixty-meter run at four o four. I heard my classmates crying: “Go! Go! Go for it!” I was encouraged very much. In the race, I tried my best and finally won the fourth place.

  The day before yesterday, we were all very happy!
